Experienced Veterinarian in Vancouver
Since 1946, Kerrisdale Veterinary Hospital has provided dedicated veterinary care for our Vancouver community. We’re a family-run clinic that’s led by a team of qualified, professional veterinarians. Dr. James Dodds started their family business where it had continued to thrive under the ownership of his son Dr. Michael Dodds. Dr. Michael Dodds grew up in Kerrisdale, attending both Kerrisdale Elementary School and Point Grey Secondary School prior to attending the University of British Columbia. At UBC, Dr. Dodds was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Animal Science. Subsequently, he attended Scotland’s University of Glasgow, where he received a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery, thereby becoming a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS) in 2000. Dr. Michael Dodds sadly passed away in September of 2024 however his memory and legacy lives on in the practice. Their family continues to run the practice under the supervision of senior veterinarian Dr. Janette Craven and Manager Caitlin Cumming. All our skilled veterinarians in Vancouver share a special affinity towards pets. Our primary goal is to provide optimal medical, surgical and rehabilitative support until they recover. Their health and wellness is our priority and we are here to do everything we can to help them achieve it. On this page, learn about our vets and our support staff.
